Raojeet Bungalow
It was an opportunity to design a house for a sikh couple with two little daughters. The existing stone bungalow had to be demolished and the rubble stone was to be reused in the new bungalow. The client wanted a lap pool 600 mm deep, in the garden.
The house is built around a central staircase with a courtyard adjacent to it with a skylight. Thus, the entire house is connected. The Pooja place for Granthsahib was important to be at the center of the house, so it is placed at the first floor in the centre. Since the staircase is built around it, the parikrama is done each time one goes to the first floor. An informal living and a formal living room, dining and a large kitchen; two guest rooms at the ground floor and four large bedrooms each with a walk-in wardrobe at the first floor are designed in such a way as to be completely connected with each other.
In addition, a separate TV /music room and a study are also accommodated at the first floor. The lady of the house being an interior designer, has decorated the house with different colour schemes for each room.
Another important requirement was the view of the lap pool from the living room, therefore a large glass façade is designed on one side of the living room facing the external courtyard.
We deliver professional expertise, excellent client services and quality construction.
