The proposed Padale I.T. building occupies a prominent plot in Erandwane, Pune and comprises 16825 ft² of office space with ground plus eight floors. The building, clad in coated grey aluminum panel and glass, opens up towards the street.
The single building accommodating up to 200 staff and organized in a rectangular shape, addresses the street by increasing transparency of the facade so that interaction with the street is possible.
The entrance, through a dramatic double height glazed wall with a canopy above, is the predominant feature of the scheme. A stepped ramp leads from the street up to the foyer. The clients were looking for a scheme which expressed the character of their operations – innovative, and contemporary. The building admirably expresses the perceived identity of the organization while reflecting civic and contextual values which are central to AVA's architectural ethos.
