The center is located at Rajiv Gandhi zoological park to display the information about all types of species with their photographs, models and videos. The center is with display areas, audio visual areas, library and auditorium. The circulation in display areas is designed in such a way that at no point there is any congestion within the center and they can move at their own pace. The entire structure is designed in such way that it will gel with surrounding nature and form part of the existing landscape. The entrance foyer is welcoming with a feature wall. The central courtyard enhances the structure which is combination of rectangular blocks and curvilinear blocks.
The program includes entrance foyer with display walls, souvenir shop, exhibition halls for animal habitat model area and mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibian; diorama hall on the ground floor. At the upper floor level, we have a library, administration offices and an auditorium of capacity 135 seats in an oval shape above the entrance foyer. A lower ground floor area is created due to the contour of the site. This is to be used for storage purposes. We have retained majority of the existing trees and the form has been evolved trying to save the existing trees.
