Capt. Gangoli had just retired from the Indian Navy. After number of discussions with the client, we arrived at the following criteria: a simple homely look with a veranda in front, a large garden, big bedrooms with lots of light and ventilation & provision for expansion.
We designed a bungalow with a central courtyard, with rooms surrounding it. Thus, the dining area extends into the courtyard, providing a party lounge & dance floor, which is covered by a skylight. There is another sit-out attached to the living area, which makes for a cozy place.
